Øy rehearsal 2024-09-04
First rehearsal after Bogotap 2024 and back tuning up the regular Øy setup. In a week full of stress and activeties this was a much needed session. I felt so much better afterwards. I like the feeling of push and pull in this one, while also standing still in a way. Almost like there is some tension that needs to be massaged out.
I like the playful rhythms and I like how after 13 minutes whatever has been planted is starting to materialize. I remember my fingers were soooo tired after playing the chopped up distorted sound for most of the track that I felt like going into a high speed synth solo was a bad idea, but it worked out in the end. Sometimes you just have to go where the music leads you.
